New Birth

This evening I attended one of the greatest events in the life of a Christian. The birth of a new Christian. the girlfriend of one of my close friends was baptized tonight, and therefore started a new life walking with the Lord. I have attended the baptism of many people, and each time it always reminds me of when I made that same committment to God. The inspiration, and fire that you have at the beginning which you don't think could ever go away. Then time goes by, and if you aren't diligent in studying the Word, you slip from that fire into a sort of dullness. For the person in that situation, its encouraging to fellowship with new Christians who still have that fire. Its also a motivation to get back into the Word and get that fire back.
