3 new brothers in 1 week!

its a wonderful thing when someone decides to take on Christ in baptism... yet I think its even more wonderful when its someone close to you.

last sunday morning we went to the church we used to attend, to witness the baptism of a young man that I used to babysit. Our family was specifically invited because we are still good friends with his family. After worship service (and his baptism) they also invited everyone over to their house to celebrate with them. We even had birthday cake and sang happy birthday to our new brother in Christ. later that night when we were all getting ready to go to bed, I noticed that my oldest brother was in a serious discussion with my mom. I continued to put my things away and such, then my dad was involved in the discussion. Next thing I knew my Dad was calling our friends, who we had just spent all day with, to see if they could meet us at the church building because my brother wanted to be baptized! Dad woke the younger boys up and we all piled into the suburban and headed off to the church... SkinnySk8r became a new creation at about 11:45pm!
the next day, I was talking to both of my older brothers, and Camouflager (my middle brother), said something about his need to be baptized. I wasn't sure if he was serious or if he just felt like he had to because SkinnySk8r did. I told Mom, and she told Dad. Dad studied with Camouflager all week and he still wanted to be baptized. Dad thought he was ready, so this morning at about 10:15 he was baptized. two of my brothers in one week! and another new brother who I have known during most of his physical life! Its so encouraging!

Yours was the first blog of the weekend for me and to find such a lovely series of pictures and an inspirational essay was wonderful.

Thanks for sharing that....I now have three new brothers, too, and will one day meet them!
